American R&B music Superstar, Robert Sylvester Kelly popularly known as R. Kelly may spend the rest of his life in prison.
The 54 year old King of R&B was found guilty by a Federal Court in New York for Sexual exploitation , bribery, racketeering and sex trafficking among other charges on Monday.
One of black Americans best known musician who achieved fame in the world of music but could not manage his success was associated with scandalous pedophilia, taking minors and using them as sex toys .
The jury made up of 7 men and 5 women found Kelly guilty of all the charges and consequently served him justice in a big cup.
Survivors of his beastily behaviour (nearly 12 of them) made up young children gave harrowing details of evidences of abuse and iltreatment that nailed Kelly
Some of the victims could not survive to tell the story. One of them is Aaliya; a celebrated singer, actress, dancer and model . Kelly married Aalyah privately in a hotel at the age of 15. Aaliyah was said to be Kelly’s relation.
The marriage was said to have been annulled following outrage from family members. Aaliyah however sadly died in 2001 at the age of 22 following fatal plane crash during a music video shooting tour preceeding the release of her latest album.
Kelly produced Aaliyahs celebrated album, titled – Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number and perhaps took advantage of her.
For R. Kelly, the conviction is a lesson in a hard way for sexual offences running to two decades and half. His battery of lawyers could not save him. His cup was full.
Kelly turned out to his credit numerous hip hop / R&B songs with soulful lyrics that will remain indelible in the minds of his fans .
